It was the summer of 1979 that Harold and Karen Bertola, with their kids in the back of their car and their boat hooked to the rear bumper, made their first boating trip to Bullfrog at Lake Powell. Ten years later, following a dream and with high hopes, Harold and Karen signed a lease on 50 acres along Highway 276 just 8 miles from the Bullfrog Marina launch ramp in the shadow of the scenic Henry Mountains. Twenty years later Harold and Karen are celebrating two decades of consistently providing Bullfrog area boaters with the best service at Lake Powell – whether it’s boat storage and repair or hot food off THE GRILL.

Harold and Karen are driven by a personal motto: "Simply the Best", meaning Offshore Marina will be the best at Lake Powell in every service they provide. They’ve lived up to that motto and as a result their dream has expanded from the original 50 acres to over 200 acres that includes: 150,000 square feet of covered boat storage and 150 acres of open storage, 2 boat repair and service centers, a boat detailing shop, an office building, and a Chevron fuel center with convenience store (housing THE GRILL at Offshore Marina). With each successive year Offshore Marina continues to add lines of service to better meet the needs of their boating customers, most recently: Turn-around houseboat services and THE GRILL at Offshore Marina.

• Turnaround Houseboat Service: In conjunction with Sunrise Peak Houseboats, Offshore Marina manages all the services for multi-owner houseboats stored off-lake in the Bullfrog area. Because of high demand and lack of slip space at Bullfrog Marina many houseboat owners are choosing to store their boats off-lake. With lower storage rates, lower fueling costs, lower cleaning /repair /maintenance costs and better quality service many houseboat groups are discovering the real advantages of dry dock Turnaround services by Offshore Marina.
